Wake up to Reality

Human society has always been and will always be changing. New ideas emerge, new styles appear and new ways to see reality are formed in each generation. It is easy to see that when we look at the styles and trends of our parents' generation and how they look ridiculous and even absurd to us today. But this is not something new. What's really interesting is the fact that we can be part of this change, and this should generate a subtle sense of responsibility within us.

We may not see it, but the world we live in and what we see today is the way it is because of the way that the generations that came before us acted and reacted to their time on earth, how they responded to what the reality threw at them. So subtly we are responsible for our moment here. Sometimes we get so caught up in what happened yesterday and we focus so much on what is going to happen tomorrow, that we often let this moment pass us by. But we have to open our eyes and understand that regardless of age or social role, we have responsibilities over the reality around us. Directly or indirectly, someday this reality will influence our lives.

Thinking about that, it bothers me to see people who have their youth based only on the thought: "Let us live this moment and enjoy it to the fullest, because what stories will you have to tell your children and grandchildren? ". And with that in mind, the idea is just live your normal life and always keep in mind the coming “freedom moment”. Of course we should enjoy and have time to enjoy, but spending the entire youth with this as your main goal can be such a waste. This is the age we have more energy, motivation and opportunities before us, so the main goal should be to use that to build a big life project, something worth remembering. I do not know about you, but I would totally prefer that my children look at my past and see dignity and a legacy to inspire them, rather than just crazy things I did with my friends.

So, do not change your individuality for the uniformity of the crowd, taking for granted the collective thought that young people live just for enjoyment. Learn that the future will be written according to the way we respond to the moment we have before us. Everyone is born at the time they must be born, and each one of us is responsible for the legacy that we will leave here. This moment is all we have. So ask yourself today:
